The cost of property in Cyprus has dramatically increased recently and according to official sources, prices are likely to go up by 50% by the year 2009.

If you do not wish to purchase a property outright, an Alpha Panareti housing loan is available in all major currencies and can be arranged at an interest rate of less than 3%. In the case of EU residents, the maximum amount available is up to EUR 427,150, provided the buyer’s contribution is at least 20% of the property value.  The loan may have a maximum duration of 15 years.  For non-EU residents, the maximum loan amount is EUR 341,720 and the duration of the loan may be up to 10 years.  In this case, the minimum contribution required from the buyer is 40% of the property value.

Mortgages may be paid up in full at any time without penalty.
